Day 1 - Haghpat Monastery, Zarni-Parni Cave Castle, Rafting, Angar Vodka Distillery

We start the day by visiting the Monastery Haghpat - The monastic complex is included in the UNESCO World Heritage list. It represents the highest flowering of Armenian religious architecture of that era. The functional role, location and stylistic characteristics were taken into consideration during the construction of the building that stands in perfect harmony with the picturesque landscape.

Next stop is at Zarni-Parni cave castle complex, located in a picturesque forest canyon with a delightful panorama view of the Kayan fortress.

Another highlight of the day full of emotions and adventure – Rafting on the river Debed. Enjoy almost 90 minutes and 11km of rafting through the amazing landscapes and have that adventure thrill on the river Debed. The daring travellers can also choose to jump from the bridge or slide on the raft into the river for a wider spectrum of emotions. Your Rafting guide will take amazing pictures and videos and share them with you.

Lunch will be in ANGAR – a vodka distillery restaurant, where you can see the process of distilling the homemade Armenian vodka and taste it with a delicious lunch.
