Itinerary

Welcome to Armenia!!! Our tour guide will greet you at the airport and help you with all the ground handling services.

After a welcome briefing meeting with the tour guide, you will check in to your hotel in Yerevan. Rest and get ready for City Tour.

City Tour starts by visiting “Mother Armenia” Monument - one of the most popular in Yerevan. It was founded in 1967 as a victory memorial for World War II. The sculpture has a special symbolism - from its height, Mother Armenia seems to guard the peace of the city with a sword and shield. A huge sculpture is one of the highest in Yerevan. The height of it is 22 meters, plus it has a pedestal of 51 meters high. The monument is located in Victory Park near the Eternal flame, on an observation deck with a breathtaking view of the city.

Our next highlight is Matenadaran - a place where you can feel the spirit of ancient civilizations, get acquainted with the rich ancient history (including Armenian) and see unique world ancient manuscripts (including Armenian).

The beginning of the creation of the Matenadaran collection dates back to the V century. Here you can see such interesting exhibits as the largest, smallest, thickest and thinnest books (handwritten).

We will have an unforgettable experience here. The “Your Royal Elixir” educational program at the Matenadaran—Mesrop Mashtots Institute of Ancient Manuscripts in Yerevan—offers a unique opportunity to explore Armenia’s medieval heritage through hands-on experiences. This program is part of the laboratory-exhibition titled “Know-How, Arts and Crafts in Medieval Armenia,” where participants delve into ancient techniques and traditions.

Time to explore the Armenian capital, a 2807-year-old and modern city, located in the shadow of the Mount Ararat, where history and modern life blend seamlessly. We’ll explore the iconic Cascade Complex, offering panoramic views of the city, followed by a visit to the elegant Opera House, a cultural landmark nestled in the heart of Yerevan. Stroll along vibrant North Avenue, lined with brand shops and cafés, before arriving at the city's centerpiece—Republic Square—famous for its stunning architecture and musical fountains. The tour also takes you through Yerevan’s beautiful parks, providing a peaceful escape and a chance to experience the city’s lively, yet serene atmosphere.

The day starts with departure to the villages of Goght and Garni. Our first stop is at Geghard Monastery - an incredible medieval monastery, being partially carved out of the adjacent mountain, surrounded by cliffs. It is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site with enhanced protection status. Here you might have a chance to enjoy the performance of a fantastic choir in one of the chambers of the monastery with one of the greatest acoustics you ever saw. The choir will leave you with goose bumps and unforgettable emotions.

Barely recovered from the musical and cultural strong impressions, we take to Symphony of Stones (half of the road to the Symphony of Stones is hiking) where we can listen to the silent music of stones, that the virtuoso nature has created himself.

Garni gorge is one of the most exceptional places for tourists to visit and to see amazing natural rocks known as the “Symphony of Stones” or “Basalt organ”. The rocks have a shape of long hexagonal vertical columns, which are associated with the church organ. Huge stone pillars are located at an altitude of about 50 meters above the ground. It’s hard to believe that neatly and symmetrically sculpted stones are created by nature itself and not by human.

Lunch will be in a cozy Armenian restaurant with a panoramic view to Temple Garni.

We continue towards Garni Temple - the only standing Greco-Roman Colonnaded Pagan temple in Armenia and the former Soviet Union. An Ionic pagan temple located in the village of Garni is the best-known structure and symbol of Pre-Christian Armenia. The structure was built in the 1st century AD as a temple to the God of Sun Mihr.

Back to Yerevan. After returning from Garni, you will have 2 hours of free time to rest and refresh before heading out to enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of the Yerevan Wine Days festival.

You'll receive a beautifully prepared festival package that includes a branded wine glass, tasting coupons, and an informative booklet to help you navigate the event and discover the best local wines. Get ready for an unforgettable evening filled with music, flavors, and the joyful spirit of Armenian hospitality!

Our first highlight is Zvartnots Cathedral (literally “celestial angels cathedral”) is a 7th-century centrally planned aisled tetra conch type Armenian cathedral. Now in ruins, it is located at the edge of the city of Etchmiadzin, on the background of mesmerizing view to Byblical Mount Ararat. Zvartnots was added to the UNESCO World Heritage list in 2000.

Our next highlight is the spiritual and religious center of Armenia Etchmiadzin. The city is best known as the location of Etchmiadzin Holy Mother Cathedral, the center of the Armenian Apostolic Church. It is unofficially known in Western sources as a “Holy City” and in Armenia as the country's "Spiritual Capital". Along with several important early medieval churches located nearby (St. Gayane, St. Hripsime), Etchmiadzin Cathedral was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2000. The Holy Lance that pierced Jesus’s side (also known as the Spear of Destiny and Lance of Longinus) is kept in Etchmiadzin.

Lunch will be in Agape Refectory - This building is a restored monks’ refectory from 1655. It is now an elegant restaurant with classic and modern Armenian food where you will feel yourself back in 17th century.

Our next stop is’’Armenia Wine’’ winery. We’ll have a nice lunch and wine tasting at the winery. Wine tasting is carried out in a professional tasting room.

“Armenia Wine” winery is one of the leading companies in the Armenian market as its production process meets the modern standard by means of its innovative technologies which are used by the world-famous companies that produce wine, brandy and other alcoholic beverages.

After we will visit Wine History Museum of Armenia - located next to the "Armenia Wine" factory. The museum showcases a rich collection of archaeological artifacts, ethnographic exhibits, and manuscripts that trace the evolution of viticulture and winemaking in the Armenian Highlands.

Visitors can delve into the chronological development of Armenian winemaking through interactive and innovative displays housed in an underground exhibition hall, situated 8 meters beneath basalt rocks. The museum's exhibits highlight the deep-rooted connection between wine and various facets of Armenian history and culture.

We return back to Yerevan.

The rest of the evening is free. Explore it on your own, pass by the Republic Square to see the Singing and Dancing Fountains and take pictures with this amazing background. Evening Yerevan is another highlight that should be added to your bucket list. Cafes and bars are full of locals at night. Join them for glass of local Armenian wine. You’ll not regret!

You can also return to the heart of the celebration and immerse yourself once again in the vibrant rhythms and festive spirit of Yerevan Wine Days!

Day 3 is yours to enjoy at your own pace — take this opportunity to truly connect with Yerevan and Armenia at your own rhythm — whether you’re a culture seeker, foodie, fashion lover, or a bit of everything.

Shop like a local – Browse through Vernissage open-air market for handmade crafts, souvenirs, jewelry, and art. Visit GUM Market for fresh produce, local spices, and Armenian delicacies. For a modern shopping experience, explore upscale boutiques on Northern Avenue, where you’ll find renowned international brands like Louis Vuitton, Gucci, and Prada. You can also head to the city's malls, like Yerevan Mall and Dalma Garden Mall, offering both global brands and local retailers for a perfect shopping spree.

Savor the café culture – Yerevan’s café scene is legendary. Sip Armenian coffee or enjoy wine with a view at one of the many cozy spots near Cascade or Saryan Street.

Dive into culture – Visit the History Museum of Armenia, National Gallery, Sergei Parajanov Museum, or the Cafesjian Center for the Arts. For something different, explore the underground art spaces and contemporary galleries.

Relax in green spaces – Take a walk-through Lovers’ Park, Tumanyan Park, Yerevan 2800th Anniversary Park or the beautiful gardens near the Opera House. Enjoy a moment of calm in this dynamic city.

Taste the flavors – Try authentic Armenian cuisine at traditional restaurants, or explore trendy eateries blending local and international tastes.

Yerevan is a safe, walkable city where every street corner hides a surprise — a charming bookstore, a music performance, or a breathtaking view of Mount Ararat.

Depending on your flight time, enjoy a few final quiet moments in the city — perhaps a last stroll, a coffee on a sunlit terrace, or one more photo with Mount Ararat in the background.

Transfer to the airport will be arranged.
