Itinerary
Once we arrive, we will have a nice stroll in the heart of the city. Tsaghkadzor, translated, means ‘’Gorge of flowers’’ and it truly deserves the name because during spring, Tsaghkadzor is covered with lush, green forests and flowers and the views are just mesmerizing. However, it is mostly popular in winter because of its ski resort.
We will visit Kecharis Monastery - located in the northern part of town, the unique church was erected at the beginning of the 11th-century and is considered one of the historical gems of Tsaghkadzor. It is a well-kept facility surrounded by beautiful mountains and ancient cross-stones (khachkars). Kecharis Monastery is a great place to get in touch with the history of Tsaghkadzor.
Those who want to ski or snowboard and need to rent equipment, will visit a local rental shop to get the necessary gear.
From the top skiing point at an altitude of 2819 meters, opens a spectacular view of Lake Sevan and the Ararat mountain. It’s the perfect place for professionals and beginners to master their skills while enjoying the picturesque Armenian scenery. Level of tracks is designed mainly for the middle level of riding, but there are tracks for both professionals and beginners.
Not tired yet or didn't get enough of skiing or snowboarding? Slopes are even open for the fans of night riders from 07.00pm - 11.00pm.
